Doug Thompson
Co-leader and founder
of COMMIT
Doug Thompson is a retired family physician from Stratford, Ontario, with 40 years of medical practice and Rotary service. His mission work in the Dominican Republic, Mexico, and 14 years in Nicaragua helped establish COMMIT, reflecting his commitment to global equity and encouraging Canadians to share their resources with disadvantaged communities worldwide.
Janice Rauser
Co-leader and founder of COMMIT
Janice is a registered nurse on the Maternal Child Unit at Stratford Hospital and a committed Rotarian. A co-founder and leader of COMMIT, she has spent over 14 years in mission work in Nicaragua and is a strong advocate for international aid and community development. She believes that small, consistent acts of service can make a meaningful difference in the world.
Kim Neeb
Volunteer Manager
Sewing project leader
Kim Neeb, a long-time community volunteer and Rotary member since 2020, turned her focus to international mission work after retirement. Inspired by COMMIT’s work in Nicaragua, she founded a sewing co-op for local women, sharing her 50+ years of experience to teach skills that empower women aged 15–65 and support household and entrepreneurial opportunities.
