Launched in January 2019, COMMIT’s agriculture project in Nandarola has grown into an outstanding success story rooted in resilience, collaboration, and shared commitment. What began with 10 farmers working alongside a hired agronomist has expanded into a thriving group of 27 active members.

During a recent visit, COMMIT met with the farmers, who proudly shared the progress they have made. Beyond cultivating their individual family plots, the group has successfully farmed a large shared field of corn and beans, producing abundant and rewarding harvests. Their dedication was evident as some team members even navigated the challenging terrain to reach the hilltop fields where much of this work takes place.

A key milestone in this progress has been the launch of a successful drip irrigation project, improving water efficiency and crop reliability. Encouraged by its early results, COMMIT looks forward to expanding this initiative so more families throughout the village can benefit in the near future.

Together, these efforts reflect the power of partnership and the lasting impact that thoughtful, community-driven agricultural development can achieve.
